Hel's Duck Nuggets

In March 2015, after careful consideration, I decided to get ducks.  I chose Indian Runner ducks for their exceptional egg laying capabilities.  They don't have flight (like migratory birds), therefore, no clipping wings (there are a select few that manage to jump a 42" fence).  They are trainable and herdable, with consistency, treats and herding skills.  Their manure does not require composting before use, therefore the trees that receive it do very well.  They are less destructive than chickens in the garden but provide comparable pest control.  They have a lower water requirement compared to most other ducks, therefore do not require a large pond in order to be happy, but they do love having one.  Ducks are social animals that provide hours of entertainment. It's an Easter egg hunt every day! !
